The 18th Annual Real Heroes Awards is a celebration honoring local heroes for courage, compassion and leadership!

Join us for an inspiring virtual event with our 2020 Real Heroes Honorees.

EVENT PROGRAM

Each year, the American Red Cross of San Diego and Imperial Counties honors individuals for acts of great bravery, dedication and service to the community at our Real Heroes Awards event.

For the first time in 18 years, due to the current public health crisis, the Red Cross is unable to honor these extraordinary humanitarians at our annual in-person event. Instead, we're excited to celebrate the 2020 class of heroes in our first-ever virtual Real Heroes Awards!

This year, heroes will be honored in the following categories:

Sean Mahoney Keynote Speaker
Sean Mahoney is the Regional Chief Executive Officer for the American Red Cross Southern California Region, serving San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial Counties. Sean joined the Red Cross in December 2017 and furthers the organization's mission in the community by leading the region's disaster preparedness initiatives, emergency relief efforts, service to the armed forces and more.
